Built by people
who work the calls
BeamSync started because the existing tools were built for a different era of theatre. We wanted something that actually keeps up with how modern productions work.
The problem we're solving
Theatrical lighting paperwork hasn't meaningfully evolved in decades. The tools that exist were designed when plots had 200 instruments and a single dimmer rack. Modern touring productions run thousands of channels across a dozen universes, with moving lights that each have 20 DMX modes and fixtures that change from city to city.
The electricians doing this work deserve software that matches that complexity — without requiring a PhD to operate or an IT department to install. That's what we're building.
BeamSync integrates directly with Vectorworks because that's where the plot lives. It generates the paperwork you actually hand to the crew. It plans power in a way that catches overloads before someone throws a breaker on a Monday morning load-in. And it prints labels that don't fall off the gel.
What we believe
Built for the floor, not the office
Every decision we make starts with one question: does this make the electrician's job easier? If the answer is no, it doesn't ship.
Data you can trust
Your show data lives in your file. We never lock you in. Export to CSV anytime. The moment you stop paying us, your data is still yours.
Honest pricing
One price. No per-seat fees, no feature-gated tiers that hide the things you actually need. If it's in the app, it's in your plan.
Secure by default
We use industry-standard encryption, minimal data collection, and we never sell your information. Your show data is your business, not ours.
Where we're going
BeamSync is in active development. The core workflow — import, manage, generate paperwork — is solid. Coming next: collaborative multi-user editing, mobile companion app for on-site focus notes, and deeper integration with dimmer rack manufacturers for live load monitoring.
